The Inventor’s Playground: Building Fun Ideas into Reality!

Imagine stepping into the world of Toy Story, where toys don’t just sit on shelves but come to life and move all around you! Discover the joy of invention as you reimagine and recreate your favorite robotic toys that’ll wander our toyshop makerspace. Whether you like to draw, color, or make things, you’ll be invited to share that bubbly excitement with your friends as everyone can grab their favorite materials to begin tinkering with. While learning how technology and robotics can be a tool to amplify your creativity, each one of your inventions becomes a part of activities, games, and endless fun. Whether you want to create a whimsical dancing toy spinning around tables or a monstrous mechanized beast stomping across the floor, your creative direction is completely up to you. What would you want to make this week?

Campers Will:

  • Discover how to bring their imagination to life through creative activities that introduce a wide variety of materials to experiment and craft with.
  • Experiment with cause and effect by testing how different motors, sensors, and materials change the way their toy behaves.
  • Practice trying again as they adjust, rebuild, and improve their toy designs to match their imagination.
