Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to NORY!
We're so excited you're considering NORY for your child! Our mission is simple: to help create future changemakers who wake up each day with a strong sense of purpose and excitement. We use STEM as a vehicle to build resilience, inquisitiveness, and empathy: the fundamental skills to thrive in our ever-changing world.
Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions families have about our Summer Camp programs. For information specific to Holiday Camp, please open the Holiday Camp tab at the end. Most details are similar across seasons, and any differences (for example, lunch service) are explained there. If you need anything else, our friendly team is always here to help.
Q: What programs does NORY offer?
NORY camps are like a STEM-powered Disney World, where big ideas come to life through hands-on robotics, woodworking, and coding projects!
Summer Programs: We're NYC's largest STEM camp, serving over 4,000 children annually across 10+ locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Boston. From transforming campsites into life-size wooden forts to designing smart cities with self-driving vehicles, campers embark on award-winning STEM adventures that nurture entrepreneurial thinking, creative problem-solving, and empathetic leadership.
Year-Round Programs: During the school year, we offer holiday camps during school breaks, after-school programs at select locations, and birthday parties.
Our Mission: Since 2017, we've been nurturing the next generation of changemakers through our core values: resilience, inquisitiveness, and empathy. Each week, campers tackle purposeful missions; whether real-world challenges or imaginative adventures—while mastering skills from woodworking to advanced robotics, all designed to help future changemakers design their own future rather than follow it.
All programs serve children ages 3-12 with age-appropriate curriculum tailored to each developmental stage.
Q: What age groups do you serve, and how do I choose the right one?
We have three age groups, each with its own specially designed curriculum:
Explorers (3-4 years): Perfect for preschoolers! Our youngest campers build confidence through hands-on explorations, inquiry-based discussions, physical activities, and collaborative projects specifically designed for holistic growth. They'll experience that proud "Yes, I did this!" moment while developing empathy and discovering new passions. Projects include pre-built elements appropriate for their developmental stage.
Inventors (5-7 years): The sweet spot for maker education that unlocks their full potential. Kids this age tackle exciting missions like building life-size carnivals for the whole campsite, learning more intricate building skills than Explorers. Driven by intrinsic motivation, they become empowered problem-solvers who embody resilience, inquisitiveness, and empathy.
Masters (8-12 years): Our Innovators' Playground where advanced campers build projects from start to finish AND spend 5-7 hours per week adding special coding elements. They learn programming with Chat-GPT, DALLE, and Scratch, upload functionality to Arduino boards, and work with cutting-edge technology. Our physical computing approach lets them see their code control real robots immediately.
Choosing the right group: If your child is close to an age cut-off, consider whether they prefer leading younger kids or being challenged by older peers. When in doubt, give us a call at 917-521-6630—our team can help you find the perfect fit!
Q: Is my preschooler too young for camp? What about children turning 3 during summer?
Not at all! Our Explorers program (3-4 years) is specifically designed for preschoolers, with age-appropriate activities and staff trained to support younger campers. Think hands-on explorations, inquiry-based discussions, physical activities, and collaborative projects that build that proud "Yes, I did this!" confidence while developing empathy and discovering new passions.
Age 3 requirement: We welcome children starting at age 3, and any budding innovator who is potty trained and comfortable in a group setting will thrive in our creativity-filled Explorers classes.
Turning 3 during summer: If your child is turning 3 during camp, we understand developmental stages vary significantly at this age. We assess readiness based on potty training and overall comfort. If you're confident they're ready and potty trained, we can allow them to attend.
Our promise: Our top priority is ensuring every camper has a positive experience. If, after the first day, we feel the program isn't the right developmental fit, we'll discuss options like switching to half-day or providing a full prorated credit refund (no expiration) so they can return when ready. Should we need to cancel enrollment, there's no penalty—we're here to support your child's growth and make camp joyful for every young camper.
Q: What kind of coding projects do Masters (8-12 years) work on?
We see coding as a powerful tool for creating real impact, and we teach kids how to use this tool with purpose. All Masters work on coding projects every week through two key approaches:
Physical Computing: Instead of just watching code run on a screen, campers use it to control real-world robots and devices. They see, in real time, how their code affects something tangible: making robots navigate obstacles, collecting data from their environment, and operating sensors and outputs. Campers program conditional behavior and upload unique functionality to Arduino boards and NORY's proprietary robotic systems, experiencing the immediate impact of their work.
AI-Powered Coding Skills: With AI rapidly changing the coding landscape, the potential for what kids can create is growing exponentially. Our curriculum team ensures campers learn the most up-to-date skills like natural language programming (vibe-coding) to create real web apps and digital projects: to create real web apps and digital projects that equip them to stay ahead and create at scale.
This dual approach helps campers understand coding not as abstract concepts, but as a practical tool for meaningful change and innovation.
Q: What are the camp hours?
Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We also offer early drop-off starting at 8:15 AM and extended care until 5:30 PM for summer camps.
Q: How much does it cost?
2026 Summer Rates:
Add-On Rates:
Q: What are the discounts and how do they apply?
We totally understand wanting to make the most of every savings opportunity, and we want to help! While most discounts can't be combined, we always make sure to apply the biggest one available to give you the best value (for example, if you're eligible for both Early Bird and Referral, the larger of the two will apply). The one exception is our Sibling Discount, which can be used alongside another discount, a small way we support families registering multiple children.
Q: Can I enroll for partial or non-consecutive weeks?
Our summer camps are structured as full, weeklong sessions to allow campers to fully engage in and complete our signature multi-day projects, which span five days. For this reason, we're unable to offer partial-week enrollment or single-day drop-ins. We also staff our team and allocate materials based on a consistent five-day commitment for each camper, making it challenging to accommodate additional children mid-week. That said, if your child can only join for part of a week, we'd be happy to provide materials for them to complete the project independently at home. Please reach out to discuss how we can best support your family's schedule, we're here to help!
However, each week is completely independent with its own unique theme, so non-consecutive weeks work perfectly! Your camper will embark on a whole new adventure every time they attend.
Q: How do I register?
Registering is simple! Visit nory.co/summer, select your camper's age group and location, and follow the prompts. If you need any assistance, our team is happy to help—just give us a call at 917-521-6630.
Q: What is the registration deadline?
Registration remains open until a camp week is full. Once filled, a waitlist will be available.
Q: How many weeks do families typically sign up for?
Families typically sign up for anywhere from one to multiple weeks, depending on their summer plans and childcare needs. Many choose 4-6 weeks to give their child a well-rounded experience, while others enroll for the full summer to provide consistency and ongoing STEM exploration. We offer flexible scheduling, so families can choose the weeks that work best for them!

Q: Do you provide lunch and snacks?
Summer Camp: Yes! NORY provides hot lunch for all full-day campers through our food service provider, Butter Beans (who also caters for Asphalt Green and Basis Independent Schools). At registration, you can choose from four daily menu options: Regular, Vegetarian, and Allergen-Free. Lunch is served indoors, and we ensure every camper's dietary needs are met with care.
Q: What should campers bring each day?
Campers should bring a water bottle, a change of clothes, and sunscreen. We are here to have fun! Please have your child wear loose fitting, comfortable "play" clothing. Closed toe shoes or sneakers are recommended. Sandals or water shoes are recommended for outdoor play time. Please send your child with a change of clothes, a towel, and shoes that can get wet, for water and beach days.
Q: Do you offer nap time?
Unfortunately, we don't have nap time built into our schedule. If your 3-4 year old still naps, we recommend our Explorers Half Day program (9 AM-12 PM). If you're looking to transition out of napping, our Full Day program is a great way to start! We're flexible and can help you switch from Full Day to Half Day if needed.
Q: Do children need to be potty trained?
We completely understand that potty training is a journey, and we're here to support your child every step of the way in a positive, encouraging, and judgment-free environment. Our goal is to reassure families that accidents are normal, and we're committed to making camp a comfortable and welcoming space for all young learners.
While we do ask that all campers are potty trained, our caring and patient teachers are always ready to help. We provide gentle reminders throughout the day and assist with clothing changes if needed. If your child is still building confidence in this area, they are welcome to wear a pull-up, and we encourage parents to send an extra change of clothes just in case.
For families looking to ease into the camp experience, our 3-4-year-old Half Day option can be a great fit. We want every camper to feel safe, supported, and excited to be here!
Q: Are bathrooms toddler-friendly?
We understand that bathroom comfort is important, especially for our younger campers. No matter which location your child attends, we provide a potty training seat with a step stool ladder to ensure the toilet is accessible and safe for little ones. You won’t need to worry about the toilet being too big. Our setup is designed to support their independence and help them feel confident throughout the day.
Q: Can my child be grouped with their friend?
You're welcome to request that your camper be grouped with a friend, even if one attends half-day and the other full-day. We'll do our very best to honor these requests, but please understand that many factors go into balancing classrooms. While we can't guarantee every request, we're always happy to try.
Q: Does the curriculum include outdoor time if we don't choose sports?
Absolutely! Every camper has daily outdoor time, even if they don't participate in sports add-ons. After lunch, we host themed outdoor activities such as water days twice a week. Here's how outdoor time is structured:
We're committed to making outdoor time exciting and fun for all campers.

We offer two sports add-ons: soccer and swimming! Sports happen during the regular 9 AM-3 PM camp schedule and must be purchased with full-day camp. Both swim and soccer add-ons are structured instructional sessions, not free play.
Soccer: We partner with Super Soccer Stars to provide 45-minute sessions 3 days per week. Children learn fundamentals from dribbling, passing, and shooting to scrimmaging and playing games. Emphasis is on building self-confidence, fostering teamwork, and teaching enjoyment of the game. Available for ages 3-10. Our soccer program combines skill-based coaching and structured scrimmages. Children are grouped by age and skill level (usually 2 groups, but varies by class size), with each session featuring targeted drills and game play. Note: Weather-dependent; no refunds for weather cancellations.
Swimming: We partner with reputable swim programs to provide group lessons 2-3 days per week for all skill levels. A skill assessment survey is sent before camp to gather information about your swimmer. Children are placed into groups of 3-5 per instructor by skill level from beginners to advanced. Available for ages 4-12. Campers receive formal swim instruction tailored to individual skill levels. On the first day, coaches assess each child's ability and organize small groups from beginners to advanced swimmers, focusing on skill development.
Q: How do sports add-ons work? When do they take place?
Soccer takes place during outdoor time (1-2 PM) and swimming programs have different schedules by location. Both are grouped by skill level and are structured instructional sessions combining skill-based coaching with age-appropriate activities.
Q: How are children grouped for swim lessons?
Children are assessed on the first day and placed into small groups (3-5 children per instructor) based on their swimming ability, from beginners to more advanced swimmers. Each group works with a coach on skill-appropriate drills.
Q: My child is turning 4. Can they sign up for swimming?
Swimming is typically for ages 4+, but if your child is close to 4 (over 3 years, 10 months), we can contact our swim partner to assess their readiness based on swimming experience. For younger children, we recommend waiting until next year.
Q: Can I register for sports separately?
No, sports add-ons must be purchased alongside full-day camp enrollment.
Q: Can I add or remove add-ons after registration?
Yes, as long as spots are available! Simply email us at hello@nory.co and we'll assist you.
Q: What if I have concerns about swimming?
We've enhanced our sports experience this year! You'll receive weekly summaries highlighting key learning points from athletic activities, and we're committed to addressing any concerns promptly through your Site Director.
Extended Care & Add-Ons
Q: How do you ensure camper safety?
Your child's well-being is our top priority. We maintain thorough safety protocols that strictly comply with NYC camp permit requirements, including comprehensive outdoor protocols, food allergy management, and emergency procedures. Our overall camper-to-staff ratio is less than 6:1, and we provide strategic and thorough training in safe tool use for all staff members. All summer camp staff must complete a third-party background check facilitated by NORY, a state and national sex offender registry check, and submit required medical forms before working with NORY.
Here's how we ensure a safe and secure experience every day:
Health and Wellness Procedures: We have clear protocols for managing illness, administering emergency care, and handling medical needs such as EpiPen use. If a camper becomes ill or experiences a medical emergency, our staff will notify you immediately and follow up with emergency contacts if necessary.
Behavior Expectations and Anti-Bullying Measures: NORY fosters a positive environment where all campers are treated with respect. We follow a clear code of conduct and have a firm anti-bullying policy. Our staff takes an empathetic, step-by-step approach to managing behavior and involves parents as partners when needed.
Outdoor and Weather Safety: We monitor weather conditions closely and have procedures in place during inclement weather and heat advisories. Campers stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and participate in supervised indoor alternatives when necessary.
Tool Safety and Training: Instructors receive strategic and thorough training in the safe use of tools and materials used during camp activities. Campers are introduced to tools with clear safety instructions and close adult supervision to ensure a safe, hands-on learning experience.
Meals Handled with Allergy-Smart Care: We're a nut-free campus. Hot lunches are served indoors, clearly labeled, and prepared in partnership with a school-catering team that specializes in dietary accommodations (regular, vegetarian, allergen-friendly, kosher). All staff are trained in food-allergy protocols and EpiPen administration—so lunchtime feels relaxed and safe for every camper.
Secure Drop-off & Pick-up: Drop-off 8:50–9:00 AM | Pick-up 2:50–3:00 PM at an entrance. Guardians sign in/out with a unique ID (received through email). Only adults you pre-authorize can pick up your child.
All-day Outdoor & General Safety Routines: Clearly marked boundaries and off-limits zones, reinforced each morning. Buddy checks every 15–20 minutes when we're outside. Hydration breaks and heat-index monitoring; we move indoors for shade or AC whenever the weather calls for it. Lost-child plan that's simple for kids: "Stop, stay put, or find a uniformed officer/adult in charge." Certified first-aid/CPR staff on-site and instant parent notification for any medical concern.
For more detailed information about specific safety protocols, please see the relevant sections below in this FAQ.
Q: Can you share your Code of Conduct & Discipline Policy?
At NORY, we strive to create a nurturing environment where every camper feels valued and accepted. We embrace empathetic leadership and have zero tolerance for bullying of any kind. Our goal is to help children build self-confidence, make friends, and create lasting memories.
Our Philosophy: We encourage awesome mistakes and foster a safe, positive environment where children can fail safely and bounce back. We create an encouraging and collaborative environment that applies to all social dynamics and values we uphold. Children learn best when they feel secure to take risks, explore, and grow.
Our Empathetic, Inclusive and Fair Approach: We value each child as an individual and take an empathetic approach to behavior management. We acknowledge the feelings of each child and work with them to find the best solution. Every interaction is a teaching moment that helps build resilience, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Standard Behavior Support Steps:
Q: What happens if my child gets sick or injured?
If your child gets sick or injured at camp, we'll contact you immediately. If we're unable to reach you, we'll notify your emergency contact. In the event of a life-threatening emergency—such as uncontrollable bleeding, seizure, loss of consciousness, or an allergic reaction—our Site Director will call 911 first and then inform you or your emergency contact. A detailed incident report will be sent following any situation to keep you fully informed.
Q: Are your staff trained to administer Epipens?
Yes, all our staff are trained to administer Epipens in case of an emergency. You can choose to leave your child's Epipen at the camp location for the duration of camp or send it with them each day. Your child's safety is always our top priority.
Q: Can staff administer other medications?
Please contact us directly at hello@nory.co to discuss specific medication needs. We'll work with you to ensure your child's health requirements are properly managed.
Q: What are your COVID or general illness protocols?
We follow current health guidelines and will inform families of any specific protocols before camp begins. If your child shows signs of illness, we ask that they stay home to protect the health of all campers and staff.
Q: What safety measures are in place for tool use and field trips?
For power tools: We provide extensive teacher training on safety protocols and conduct thorough safety demonstrations for campers. Children practice with safe, blunt objects (like wooden sticks for drill practice) before progressing to actual tools under close supervision.
For field trips: We lower ratios to 5:1 during off-campus activities, count and buddy-check campers every 15 minutes, and require 3-4 year olds to hold safety ropes while walking.
Q: What safety protocols do you follow during recess or travel off-site?
Safety is always our top priority. When traveling off-campus and during recess, we ensure a 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio. Campers are counted and buddy-checked every 15 minutes to ensure everyone is accounted for and safe. For our youngest campers (ages 3-4), we have them hold onto a safety rope while walking to help them stay together.
Q: What is your bullying and behavior guidance policy?
At NORY, we strive to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every camper feels valued and accepted. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying of any kind. Our goal is to help children build self-confidence, make friends, and create lasting memories in a safe, empathetic setting.
If a camper exhibits inappropriate behavior, staff will kindly remind them of proper behavior and guide them in a positive direction. If the behavior continues, our Site Director will privately discuss it with the camper. Parents are always informed promptly and provided with a detailed report. We believe in partnering with families to cultivate a respectful and supportive camp experience for everyone.
Q: Are NORY locations wheelchair accessible?
Since we operate in school buildings, our locations are almost always fully accessible. However, if you let us know which location you're interested in, we'll double-check to make sure.
Q: Is NORY a nut-free camp?
Yes! The safety and well-being of our campers and staff are our highest priority. All meals and snacks provided are completely nut-free. We kindly ask that any food sent from home also remain nut-free to maintain a safe environment for everyone.
Q: What happens on rainy or extremely hot days?
During rain and extreme heat waves, we stay indoors. A Heat Advisory is issued when the heat index reaches 95-99°F for at least 2 consecutive days or 100-104°F for any length of time. Your Site Director will email families with the option to opt-out of outdoor activities and inform families during sign-in.
For campers participating in outdoor activities during heat advisories, we follow strict protocols:
Health, Safety & Inclusion
Q: What are your teacher-to-camper ratios?
We maintain an overall 6:1 camper-to-teacher ratio across our camp to ensure a high-quality experience and personalized attention for every child.
Each classroom starts with the following base ratios:
To further support individual needs, we have floating staff members who move between classrooms to provide additional attention where needed, ensuring we always stay within our 6:1 overall ratio.
Q: How many children are in each group?
Each group consists of 12-20 children, depending on the size of the venue and the age group of the campers. We strive to maintain small groups for personalized attention and meaningful connections.
Q: What are your teacher qualifications?
We're proud of our incredible teaching team! Each year, we receive over 10,000 applications and select only the most passionate, empathetic, and skilled educators to join NORY. Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds—from experienced professionals with over a decade of teaching to bright talent from prestigious institutions like Teachers College and NYU. All educators complete rigorous training to earn their "NORY certified" title, ensuring they're equipped to deliver an outstanding experience for every camper.
Q: How do you ensure quality teaching?
Through our comprehensive hiring process, extensive training program, and ongoing support. We provide teachers with abundant resources and activities to customize learning for each camper's needs and skill level.
Q: Can I meet the Site Director in person before camp begins? When is the best time to have a conversation with them about my child?
We completely understand how important it is for families to connect with their Site Director before camp starts to ensure a smooth and positive experience for your camper. We're happy to facilitate this connection in the best way possible.
Before summer begins: Please call our headquarters to share any questions or concerns about your child, and we'll do our best to relay all information to your Site Director thoroughly so they're well-prepared to support your camper.
During summer: You'll have a brief in-person meet and greet with your Site Director during sign-in. However, due to the busy nature of the sign-in process, the best time for an uninterrupted conversation is through a phone call around 10:30am-12pm, once all campers are settled in.
You'll receive your Site Director's phone number before camp begins, and they're committed to supporting your camper's amazing start to summer camp. Together, we'll ensure your camper is set up for an amazing first day and beyond.
Q: Can I visit the summer camp venue before summer begins?
We understand you want to see the physical space your child will be using! Once summer begins, the venues don't allow non-authorized people (staff members and campers) to come inside the venue building. Some facilities like LIU allow families to come inside the facility before summer begins, so please reach out to hello@nory.co to check the possibility. However, for most venues that run regular school programs before summer, they hold the same policy.
To facilitate this, we created the venue page (you can find it in the mid-section of the location-specific camp page) that includes videos and pictures of the venue. If you need any more info, please reach out to us, and we will do our best to find more pictures of the venue to help you visualize the space!
Q: Can my child be in the same group as their friend?
You're welcome to request that your camper be grouped with a friend, even if one attends half-day and the other full-day. We'll do our very best to honor these requests, though many factors go into balancing classrooms.

We're always here to help! You can reach out to us at hello@nory.co or give us a call at 917-521-6630. No question is too big or small: we'd love to assist you.
Q: Who should I contact during the camp day?
Your Site Director will be your go-to contact during camp hours. They're always ready to answer your questions, share updates about your camper's day, or assist with any last-minute needs like delayed drop-offs or pick-ups. Their phone number and email will be provided before camp begins.
Q: What's your policy on phone calls during camp hours?
Absolutely! You're welcome to call during camp hours for any reason. Your Site Director is available to address questions, concerns, or any needs that arise.
Q: How will I receive updates about my child?
We believe in keeping parents closely connected to their child's camp journey. Every evening, you'll receive a recap email highlighting the day's activities. Twice a week, we'll send you a personalized update celebrating your camper's unique milestones and experiences. Of course, you're welcome to reach out to your Site Director at any time for additional insights.
Q: How can I get photo updates of my child?
Our staff takes photos throughout the day to capture your camper's joyful moments, which we share with you via a Google Photos link at the end of the day. While our first priority is always safety and engagement, we do our best to include as many snapshots as possible.
Q: Can I request that my child not be in photos or videos?
Yes, absolutely. We respect every family's privacy preferences. If you'd like to opt out of photography for your child, please let us know in writing. Once we receive your request, our staff will take steps to ensure your child is not included in any photos or videos. We also notify our media team to make sure your child is excluded from shared albums or promotional materials.
Q: Can parents visit the camp during the day?
While we understand parents may want to see their child in action, in-person visits are not permitted due to safety protocols. However, we ensure you stay connected through daily updates, photos, and open communication with your Site Director. We're committed to making you feel part of your camper's experience every step of the way.
Q: What options exist to see if camp is a good fit for my child?
We'd love to help you explore NORY! Here are three options to consider:
Communication with Families
Q: Can my child with special needs attend?
At NORY, we deeply value inclusion and welcome families to share any information that can help us support their child. We understand that every child is unique, and our Site Director and teaching team carefully review the details you provide to determine how we can best set each child up for success in our camp environment.
That said, it's important to note that while our educators are caring and attentive, they are not formally trained in special education. In many cases, children who receive dedicated support during the school year (such as a SEIT, therapist, or aide) will need the same level of support at camp in order to thrive.
We encourage families to reach out directly so we can learn more about your child's needs and have an open conversation about whether our camp is the right fit.
Q: Can my child's SEIT or therapist attend with them?
Absolutely! If your child normally has a SEIT or therapist accompanying them in school, we highly recommend inviting them to camp as well. NORY teachers do not have training in special education.
Q: Can you accommodate non-English-speaking campers?
As a summer camp in NYC, we regularly welcome international students who are non-native English speakers, and we consistently see them thrive in our welcoming and inclusive environment. Although we don't have teachers specifically trained in ESL, we ensure each camper receives as much personal attention as possible. Below are the factors that have contributed to the successful experiences of our international campers at NORY:
Special Needs & Non-English Speakers
Q: What is your cancellation and refund policy?
We understand that life for busy families can often feel like a whirlwind of unexpected events and ever-changing schedules. At NORY, we recognize that flexibility and understanding are essential when accommodating the needs of our families. Our cancellation policy is designed with your best interests at heart:
Q: What if my child isn't ready after the first day?
Our top priority is ensuring every camper has a positive and successful experience. If, after the first day, we feel the program isn't the right developmental fit, we'll reach out to discuss options. This may include switching to a half-day schedule or providing a full prorated credit refund, which does not expire, so your child can return when they're ready in the future. We're here to support your child's growth and make camp a joyful, engaging experience for every young camper.
Q: Can a child switch from full-day to half-day?
Yes, especially for our youngest campers. If a full day proves too long, families may switch to a half-day schedule. We will honor a full refund of the prorated difference, even outside of standard refund policies, for preschool-aged campers.
Q: Can I opt into a half-day if my child is over age 5?
At NORY, we thoughtfully design each day to deliver a complete and exciting experience from start to finish. That means our materials, staffing, and project-based activities are all planned around a full-day schedule. Some of the most magical moments—like testing out big builds, launching rockets, or diving into afternoon adventures—happen later in the day, and we don't want your child to miss out!
Whenever possible, we strongly recommend enrolling in the full-day program to ensure your camper enjoys everything NORY has to offer. That said, we understand that life happens! If your child needs to leave early for a special reason—like a doctor's appointment or family need—we're happy to work with you to accommodate early pickups when arranged in advance.
Q: What if I need to pick up my child early?
We're happy to accommodate early pickups when arranged in advance for special reasons like appointments or family needs. Please contact your Site Director to coordinate.
Q: How do you handle lost items?
Lost items will be kept at the campsite until the end of the session. We recommend labeling all personal items and checking with your Site Director about any missing belongings.

Q: How do I register for an upcoming Holiday Camp?
Visit nory.co/camp, select your date and location, and follow the registration prompts. Our team is happy to assist if you need help!
Q: What makes Holiday Camps different from Summer Camps?
Holiday Camps are designed for flexibility during the school year and allow families to register by the day. Campers complete their projects each day, unlike summer camps which often have multi-day projects. Extended care ends at 5:00 PM, and we keep things simple by focusing on our core program without add-ons like soccer or swim. Lunch is not provided during holiday camps, so full-day campers should bring a nut-free lunch from home.
Q: What projects will my child work on?
Unlike summer camp, which is built around weekly themes, Holiday Camps are planned as daily projects. This makes each day unique while still offering plenty of hands-on fun. You can read more about our activities here. Closer to the start date, projects will be announced on our website and in our “See You Soon” emails.
Q: What are the camp hours?
Q: Do you provide lunch?
Q: What communications can I expect?
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
Q: Are the locations the same for all holiday camps?
Not always. Holiday camp venues can vary from camp to camp. Once a venue is confirmed, you’ll find the information on our website, and families who have already registered will also receive a confirmation email. We do our very best to make sure you know exactly where to go well before camp begins.
Q: What happens if the area and date I’m interested in says “Coming Soon”?
Sometimes a camp date may list “Coming Soon” while we finalize the venue. Once confirmed, we’ll email families right away with the exact location and update it on our website. If the new location does not work for your family, you can cancel for a full cash refund or NORY Credit. In this case, our standard cancellation policy does not apply, so you can register with confidence knowing you’ll have flexibility once the venue is announced.
