NORY Pod supports school work (virtual classes and homework) and provides premium enrichment learning experiences in a safe location in your neighborhood.

Led by our caring and inspiring teachers, a small group of 5-7 children safely builds meaningful memories with their friends, participates in STEM and arts based enrichment programs of the highest quality, and receives customized support to succeed in their academic school work.

Your child will come home with a big, happy smile and a noticeably enthused love of learning.

Core NORY Values

"I just wanted to say how much Alexander loves NORY and loves his teachers. Multiple times on the weekend he said he wishes NORY was only closed one day (of the weekend), so he can go. He also gets little sad on Fridays when it is the last day of the week. Alexander is always very excited about all the projects he works on. Thank you and your staff for giving kids a great environment to learn and be themselves while keeping them safe.

- Lynn

"The experience allowed us to notice more of the unbelievable richness and care to each detail that you dedicate to the development of your students. Half jokingly, my wife and I were considering begging you to open a full time school starting in September ;)"

- Carlo

The most important element of our learning pod is the teacher. We guarantee inspiring and caring teachers who can deliver personalized attention to ensure each child’s holistic development. Our teachers are enthusiastic, joyful leaders that have at least 3 years of professional experience providing academic support to children in grades K-5. Most of our teachers are actively pursing their advanced degrees in the field of education.

What exactly will my child be doing? Is this just a daycare program?

We’re offering a premium opportunity for students with an unmatched amount of customized content. You COULD say that our learning pods are a daycare option… but ONLY because we care about our students all day - we put their safety and experience first. Our program guides students on a journey through robotics & engineering while also exposing them to different science principles & concepts. Of course, we’ll also be helping students with their virtual schoolwork and giving them an outlet to socialize, play, and explore different disciplines each day!

The NORY Enrichment Experience

NORY Roadmap Entry Point

NORY’s robotic activities have a wide range of technical focuses varying in complexity. As students get acclimated and develop their mastery, they’ll be exposed to more and more complex projects!

Robotics projects focused on outputs like motors, buzzers, and lights.

30

Robotics projects focused on inputs like light and vision sensors.

Engineering challenges requiring students to combine their knowledge of inputs and outputs

5

Activities exploring coding and customizing robotic behavior

All student work will be framed by the science concepts (see below) and soft skills that we embed into our curriculum and each week will have an intentional spread of technology & robotics.

NORY Roadmap Completion

Even though each semester will follow an intentional STEM progression, NORY’s mission still holds true above all else - we maintain a conscious effort everyday to help students develop core soft skills: inquisitiveness, resilience, and empathy. NORY activities will always focus on at least one of these soft skills with the goal of empowering students and giving them confidence.

Below is an overview of what our STEM enrichment progression roadmap will look like:

Science Focuses

Waves - light, sound, and water | Energy | States of Matter | Space  Newtonian Forces | Recycling | Hardware software, & the internet | Weather  Momentum and Gravity
