Wild Wonders Lab: Engineering with Nature!

Congratulations, you’ve been elected the new mayor of NORY Zootopia! From sunny deserts to icy lands and leafy forests, you’ll design a magical city filled with different climates and cozy homes for every creature. As mayor, you’ll build habitats and create your own robotic animal pets that can move, react, and adapt to the environment they live in. Some animals might need warmth, others might need shade or light, and it’s your job to decide how each habitat works so every animal can rest, play, and explore comfortably. Throughout the week, you’ll watch your city grow as robotic pets interact with the climates and adapt to your city. At the end of the week, we’ll open the gates of NORY Zootopia to welcome real-life animal visitors and proudly show off the incredible city you built for all your animal friends.

Campers will:

• Build animal habitats and climates using craft materials and simple building tools to create deserts, forests, and icy environments. 
• Create robotic animal pets that move and react differently depending on the climate they are placed in. 
• Celebrate their Zootopia city by welcoming real-life animal visitors and showing how their habitats care for every creature.
