Inventing the Future of Transportation

What if bikes could travel on water, or cars could fly in the sky? Our classroom will evolve into a bustling train station, except we’re retiring our MTA trains and creating new ways to travel from place to place. Watch out as robotic vehicles fly, zoom, and zip across the classroom in ways that you couldn’t even imagine! Each day, children will build futuristic forms of transportation to traverse different obstacles set up. The classroom will become a connected transportation system as children test the limits of travel and discover new paths to their destination. In one last travel frenzy, our transportation experts will race across the classroom, getting to their end goal in the fastest time possible!

Campers Will:

• Engineer futuristic vehicles to explore guided transit, stabilization techniques, and smart sensor systems at high velocities.
  
• Build Smart Driving Systems that utilize multiple sensors to detect "pedestrians" and avoid obstacles, learning about the need for autonomous safety.
  
• Construct a giant racetrack that uses all forms of modern and futuristic transportation to highlight the power of mechanical design in a high speed competition.
